Collection History
(Baltimore: B. H. Richardson) The Baltimore Republican began publication June 10, 1861 [v. 69, no. 19,192] and ceased September 11, 1863[?]. It was published daily, except Sunday. A triweekly edition was also published. Other editions include the Baltimore Weekly Argus (Baltimore: 1850). The newspaper continues the Daily Baltimore Republican (Baltimore: 1855). Archives' collections include issue for October 13, 1862 (MSA SC 417). This project was sponsored by the Maryland State Archives and the Maryland Historical Society with funds provided by the Board of Public Works, State of Maryland and the National Endowment for the Humanities, grant #RC 25304-77-21.
