Collection History
(Frederick-Town, Frederick County: Matthias Bartgis) Bartgis's Republican Gazette, and General Advertiser began publication in 1814 and ceased July 28, 1821 [v. 30, no. 30]. It was published weekly. Title history based on March 12, 1814 [v. 22, no. 34]. It was also published as the Republican Gazette, and General Advertiser. The newspaper continues Bartgis's Republican Gazette (Frederick: 1800) and was continued by the Republican Gazette and General Advertiser (Frederick: 1821). For abstracts, see: F.
