It assumed the numbering of the Prince George's County News (Bel Air-Bowie, Carrollton, Seabrook edition). It was also published as the Bowie News and Prince George's County News, January 10-17 and April 25-May 16, 1979 and the Prince George's County News Other editions include the Prince George's County News (Belair-Bowie, Carrollton, Seabrook edition) (Laurel: 1966) and the Prince George's County News (Laurel edition) (Laurel: 1966). The newspaper absorbed the Prince George's County News (Belair-Bowie, Carrollton, Seabrook edition) (Laurel: 1966) and merged with the Bowie Blade (Bowie: 1979) to form the Bowie Blade-News (Bowie: 1980).
