The Baltimore Journal began publication in 1882[?]. It was published daily, [beginning May 15, 1887]; daily, except Sunday, 1882[?]-1885[?]. Title history based on April 13, 1887 [Jahrg 6, nr. 88]. Daily issues (Monday-Saturday) suspended June 18-December 18, 1913. Sunday issues have own numbering system. On Sundays, it was published as Die Sonntags - Post [May 15, 1887]-July 27, 1913; as Das Sonntags - Journal August 3, 1913-[November 16, 1913]. It was also published as Sonntags-Journal, Sonntags-Post, Sonntags Journal, and Sonntags Post. It was published in German, [April 13, 1887]-June 17, 1913; in English, beginning December 19, 1913.

Archives' collections include issue for March 20, 1902 [v. 21, no. 68] (MSA SC 1516-1).
