The Baltimore News began publication March 2, 1892 and ceased March 24, 1934 [v. 124, no. 119]. It was published daily, except Sunday until December 19, 1908 when it became a daily paper. Title history based on April 19, 1892 [v. 39, no. 141]. It was also published as the Baltimore News and the Evening Star, December 1, 1920-March 22, 1921 and the Baltimore Evening News. The newspaper continues the Baltimore Daily News (Baltimore: 1876), absorbed the Star (Baltimore: 1908), and merged with the Baltimore Post (Baltimore: 1929) to form the Baltimore News and the Baltimore Post (Baltimore: 1934).
