(Cumberland, Allegany County: Jno. W. Avirett) The Evening Times began publication in 1892[?] and ceased September 23, 1916 [v. 52, no. 227]. It was published daily, except Sunday. Title history based on December 2, 1892 [v. 29, no. 284]. Other editions include the Cumberland Alleganian (Cumberland: 1879); the Cumberland Alleganian (Cumberland: 1902); and the Twice-a-Week Cumberland Alleganian (Cumberland: semiweekly). The newspaper continues the Cumberland Daily Times (Cumberland: 1884) and was continued by the Cumberland Evening Times (Cumberland: 1916). See also: Albert L.
