Description
Mrs. Charles K. Clairborne, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, reminiscences about war and her experiences bringing her brother home. Her brothers volunteered, one was in 1st S.C. Sharpshooters in April 1861. She discusses experiences bringing home her brother who was wounded in second battle of Manassas September 1862. General Winder is involved. Places named are; Culpepper, Richmond, Gordonville, Rapidan River, Warrington, Spartanburg Female College. She mentions men from Baltimore, as well as William Bonner, Catherine Williamson, Mr. Payne the Warrington Town Marshall, and Jack Bishop.
