Autobiographical writings of Fred Besley. Includes both original handwritten manuscripts and notes, as well as typed copies of those manuscripts. Covers both professional and family history. Maryland Teachers' Retirement System enrollment form (1937) showing Besley's work history, completed in Besley's hand. Silver Beaver Citation for 1938 awarded to Fred Wilson Besley. Description of Fred Besley's accomplishments (handwritten by Besley himself) as State Forester for the Yale Forest School 50th reunion article: "The Contribution of Yale Men to State Forestry."
