Description
Manuscript, Handwritten letter by Colonel Thomas Ruger addressed to Major Robert Scott in regards to the arrests of the Maryland Legislature in 1861, stating he was not in possession of any official reports of the arrests. Offers to make a written statement of the event in question. On official Fort Assinuiboine letterhead. Two old horizontal folds, some brown spotting. Excellent condition. Signed. 1879.
