Manuscript signed by Major George Peter. A draft on Peter's account with Farmers and Mechanics bank in Georgetown, small oblong lined sheet, nice condition. Signed. Major Peter commanded the flying battery of horse-drawn artillery known as the first regiment, District of Columbia militia (in which Francis Scott Key served during the defense of Washington in 1814). / Includes modern printed biography of Major George Peter in plastic.
