(Baltimore: C. F. Cloud) The Daily Republican and Argus began publication December 1, 1845 [v. 30, no. 7358] and ceased December 31, 1846 [v. 31, no. 7692]. It was published daily, except Sunday. It was also published as the Republican & Argus. Other editions include the Baltimore Republican (Baltimore: 1827). The newpaper continues the Republican & Daily Argus (Baltimore: 1842) and was continued by the Republican and Argus (Baltimore: 1847). This project was sponsored by the Maryland State Archives and the Maryland Historical Society with funds provided by the Board of Public Works, State of Maryland, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, grant #RC 25304-77-21.
