(Baltimore: Cloud, Hope & Co.) The Daily Republican and Argus began publication December 1, 1848 [v. 33, no. 8,284] and ceased June 8, 1850 [v. 35, no. 8,754]. It was published daily, except Sunday. Other editions include the Baltimore Republican (Baltimore: 1827) and the Weekly Argus (Baltimore: 1849). The newspaper continues the Republican and Argus (Baltimore: 1847) and was continued by the Republican and Daily Argus (Baltimore: 1850). This project was sponsored by the Maryland State Archives and the Maryland Historical Society with funds provided by the Board of Public Works, State of Maryland, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, grant #RC 25304-77-21.
