(Baltimore: R. M. Cloud) The Republican and Daily Argus began publication June 10, 1850 [v. 35, no. 8,755] and ceased May 22, 1852 [v. 37, no. 9,326]. It was published daily, except Sunday. Other editions include the Baltimore Republican (Baltimore: 1827); the Weekly Argus (Baltimore: 1849); and the Baltimore Weekly Argus (Baltimore: 1850). The newspaper continues the Daily Republican and Argus (Baltimore: 1848) and was continued by the Daily Argus (Baltimore: 1852). This project was sponsored by the Maryland State Archives and the Maryland Historical Society with funds provided by the Board of Public Works, State of Maryland, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, grant #RC25304-77-21.
