The Hagerstown Globe began March 13, 1936 [vol. 1, no. 1] and ceased in 1943. It was published semimonthly, 1936-[February 19, 1937]; weekly, [March 19, 1937-February 26, 1943]. The newspaper merged with the Hagerstown Independent (Hagerstown) to form the Globe-Independent (Hagerstown: 1843).
