Newspaper, Hagerstown Globe
History
(Hagerstown, Washington County: Stouffer Printing Co.) The Hagerstown Globe began March 13, 1936 [vol. 1, no. 1] and ceased in 1943. It was published semimonthly, 1936-[February 19, 1937]; weekly, [March 19, 1937-February 26, 1943]. The newspaper merged with the Hagerstown Independent (Hagerstown) to form the Globe-Independent (Hagerstown: 1843). Microfilming of these newspapers was made possible through funds provided by the Maryland State Archives and the United States Newspaper Program of the Library of Congress and the Office of Preservation, National Endowment for the Humanities.
