(Williamsburg, VA: printed by W. Parks) The Virginia Gazette began publication August 6, 1736[?] and ceased May 19, 1781[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on September 3-September 10, 1736 [no. 6]. It was published at Richmond, Virginia, April 8, 1780-1781. Publication was suspended [May]-December 1750 and November 1765-February 1766. Numerica designation began again with no. 1, January 3, 1751[?] and again with no. 1, Feburary 12, 1779.
