The Baltimore County Democrat began publication in 1870 and ceased publication May 20, 1905. It was published weekly. Title history based on July 6, 1870 [v. 1, no. 15]. The newspaper absorbed the Baltimore County Herald (Towson: 1870) and merged with the Maryland Journal (Towson: 1865) to form the Democrat and Journal (Towson: 1905).

Issues of this newspaper were furnished by G. Frank Stricklin, publisher of the Jeffersonian.
