The Maryland Republican and State Capital Advertiser began publication in 1867[?] and ceased June 3, 1883 [new v. 16, no. 52]. It was published weekly. Title history based on June 1, 1867 [new vol. 3, no. 1]. The newspaper continues the Maryland Republican (Annapolis: 1826) and was continued by the Maryland Republican (Annapolis: 1883).

Archives' collection includes issues for Supplement, including list of registered voters, AA, November 1, 1879 (MSA SC 414-134) and Extra, March 1880 (MSA SC 414-135).
