History
(Baltimore: J. & C. Kreuzer) The Katholische Volkszeitung began publication May 8, 1860[?] [jahrg. 1, nr. 1] and ceased in October 1914[?]. The newpaper was published weekly in German, "Ein Wochenblatt im Interesse der Kirche." Title history based on February 22, 1873 [Jahrg. 13, nr. 44]. It was also published as Katholische Volks-Zeitung. This title is available on microfilm from the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies.
