History
(Baltimore: Democratic Republican Association, or, Whig Club) The Whig, or, Political Telescope began publication September 24, 1807[?] and ceased December 5, 1807 [v. 1, no. 43]. It was published daily, except Sunday. Title history based on October 15, 1807 [v. 1, no. 4]. It was also published as the Political Telescope. Other editions include the Whig (Baltimore: 1807: triweekly). No issues were published October 16-22, 1807. The newspaper was continued by the Whig (Baltimore: 1807: daily). This title is available on microfilm from the New York Public Library.
