History
(Elkton, Cecil County: Andrews and M'Cord) The Elkton Press began publication in July 5, 1823 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased in 1832[?]. It was published weekly. It was published as Elkton Press and Cecil County Advertiser [July 19, 1928-April 4, 1829]. For abstracts, see: F. Edward Wright, Newspaper Abstracts of Cecil and Harford Counties 1822-1830 (Silver Spring: Family Line Publications, 1984). This project was made possible through funds provided by the Maryland State Archives and the United States Newspaper Program of the Library of Congress and the Office of Preservation, National Endowment for the Humanities.
