The Worcester Democrat began publication in 1880 and ceased in 1921[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on March 18, 1899 [new ser., v. 1, no. 2]. The newspaper merged with the Ledger-Enterprise (Pocomoke City: 1896) to form the Worcester Democrat and the Ledger-Enterprise (Pocomoke City: 1921).
