History
(Annapolis, Anne Arundel County: John W. Butler) The Maryland Republican was published June 17, 1809 [v. 1, no. 1] to June 21, 1817 [v. 8, no. 58]; June 28, 1817-July 12, 1817. It was published weekly (semiweekly during the sessions of the legislature). It was published as the Maryland Republican, Extra June 28-July 12, 1817. The newspaper was continued by the Maryland Republican and Political and Agricultural Museum (Annapolis: 1817). Archives' collection includes issue for February 24, 1810 (MSA SC 176-552).
