History
(Cockeysville, Baltimore County: E. F. Church) The Baltimore County Advocate and General Advertiser was published December 14, 1850 [v. 1, no. 43] to February 12, 1853 [v. 3, no. 156]; February 19, 1853 [v. 4, no. 1] to May 12, 1855 [v. 6, no. 13]. It was published weekly. It was published at Towsontown from May 13, 1854-1855. The newspaper continues the Baltimore County Advocate (Baltimore: 1850) and was continued by the Baltimore County Advocate (Towson: 1855). For indices, see: Robert Barnes, Index to Marriages and Deaths in the Baltimore County Advocate 1850-1864 (Silver Spring, MD: Family Line Publications, 1985).
