The Easton Democrat began publication June 22, 1889 [v. 5, no. 5] and ceased in 1896[?]. It was published weekly. The newspaper continues the Democrat (Easton: 1886) and merged with the Easton Star (Easton: 1843) to form the Easton-Star Democrat (Easton: 1896).

Microfilming of these newspapers was made possible through funds provided by the Maryland State Archives and the United States Newspaper Program of the Library of Congress and the Office of Preservation, National Endowment for the Humanities.
