The Torchlight & Public Advertiser began publication November 26, 1835 [v. 22, no. 6] and ceased in 1837. It was published weekly. The newspaper continues the Torch Light (Hagerstown: 1833) and was continued by the Hagers-Town Torch Light and Public Advertiser (Hagerstown: 1837).
