The Afro-American Ledger began publication in 1900[?] and ceased December 4, 1915 [v. 24, no. 15]. It was published weekly as an African American newspaper. Title history based on August 10, 1901 [v. 10, no. 1]. It was also published as the Afro American Ledger. The newspaper was formed by the union of the Ledger (Baltimore: 1898) and the Afro-American (Baltimore: 1892) and was continued by the Afro-American (Baltimore: 1915).

Archives' collection includes issue for October 3, 1903.
