History
(Catonsville, Baltimore County: Caton Pub. Co.) The Catonsville Herald and Baltimore Countian began publication July 26, 1929 [v. 2, no. 24] and ceased February 23, 1940 [v. 12, no. 38]. It was published weekly. The newspaper continues the Catonsville Herald (Catonsville: 1928) and merged with the Argus (Catonsville: 1881) to form the Herald Argus and Baltimore Countian (Catonsville: 1940). Archives' collection includes issue for June 24, 1938 (MSA SC 3696).
