History
(Baltimore: S. C. Leakin) The Commercial Chronicle & Baltimore Advertiser began publication in 1825 and ceased in January 1829. It was published daily. Title history based on July 2, 1825. Title varies slightly. Issues for July 2, 1825-February 2, 1828 called v. 12, no. 1939-v.18, no. 2731; July 2-December 11, 1828 called v. 9, no. 2858-2993. Other editions include the Commercial Chronicle and Baltimore Advertiser (Baltimore: 1825) and the Commerical Chronicle (Baltimore: 1828). The newspaper continues the Morning Chronicle & Daily Advertiser (Baltimore: 1822) and merged with the Marylander (Baltimore: 1828) to form the Commercial Chronicle and Daily Marylander (Baltimore: 1829). Archives' collection includes issue for June 2, 1827 [MSA SC 1925-1-6].
