History

The Maryland Republican began publication in 1894 and ceased in 1908. It was published weekly. Title history based on February 3, 1894 [new vol. 27, no. 32]. The newspaper continues the Maryland Republican and State Journal and merged with the Advertiser (Annapolis: 1898) to form the Advertiser-Republican (Annapolis: 1908).

Archives' collection includes issues for February 3, 1894 and March 15, 1902 [new v. 30 (old v. 58), no. 45] (MSA SC 1516).
