The Maryland Advocate began publication in June 1833 and ceased in March 1834[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on December 10, 1833 [v. 11, no. 1]. The newspaper continues the Maryland Advocate and Farmers' and Mechanics' Register (Cumberland: 1828) and was continued by the Maryland Advocate, and Allegany Advertiser (Cumberland: 1834).
