Newspaper, Weekly Pilot
History
(Baltimore: Duff Green) The Weekly Pilot began publication May 9, 1840 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased March 20, 1841 [v. 1, no. 45]. It was published weekly. No paper was issued November 21, 1840. Other editions include the Pilot and Transcript (Baltimore: 1840) and the Pilot for the Country (Baltimore: 1840). Archives' collection includes issues for May 30, 1840 [v. 1, no. 4], May 23, 1840, June 13, 1840-June 27, 1840, July 4, 1840 [v. 1, no. 11], and July 25, 1840 [v. 1, no. 12].
