History
(Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County: P. G. Stromberg 1927-1928; Thomas L. Christian 1929-1941; Southern Maryland Times 1942-1953)

The Southern Maryland Times began publication November 25, 1927 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased in 1954[?]. It was published weekly, beginning January 20, 1949; weekly, 1927-November 16, 1948; and semiweekly, November 18, 1948-January 13, 1949. It was published at Annapolis beginning June 21, 1929. The newspaper absorbed the County Chronicle (Glen Burnie: 1947) and was absorbed by the Charles County's Waldorf Leaf (Waldorf: 1953)
