(Baltimore: A. Webster) The Methodist Protestant began publication in 1842 and ceased in 1929[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on October 29, 1842 [v. 9, no. 14]. The newspaper continues the Methodist Protestant & Family Visitor (Baltimore: 1838) and merged with the Methodist Recorder (Springfield, OH.) to form the Methodist-Protestant Recorder (Baltimore: 1929). Archives' collections include issue for January 2, 1869 (MSA SC 1925-1-79).
