The Maryland Journal began publication August 4, 1825 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased in 1827[?]. It was published weekly. The newspaper merged with the True American & Farmers Register (Rockville: weekly) to form the Maryland Journal and True American (Rockville: 1828).

Archives' collections also include issue for March 28, 1826 [see MSA SC 1925-1-70].
