The Republican Citizen and State Advertiser began publication in 1821 and ceased in 1831[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on August 31, 1821 [v. 1, no. 19]. It was also published as the Republican Citizen & State Advertiser [April 2, 1830-September 9, 1831.] Issues for [April 2, 1830-September 9, 1831] also called whole no. [465-542]. The newspaper was continued by the Citizen (Frederick: 1831).
