The Somerset Iris and Messenger of Truth began publication June 13, 1828 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased April 7, 1829 [v. 1, no. 41]. It was published weekly. It was also published as the Somerset Iris, [March 31, 1829].

Archives' collection includes issues for June 13, August 12, 19, 1828.
