History
(Snow Hill, Worcester County: Thomas E. Martin & Co.) The Worcester County Shield began publication in 1857[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on July 18, 1857 [v. 12, no. 27]. Issue for August 12, 1893 lacks volume and issue numbering. It was also published as the Worcester Shield. The newspaper continues the Worcester Shield (Snow Hill: 1856).
