The Log Cabin Advocate began publication March 21, 1840 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased December 15, 1840 [v. 1, no. 34]. It was published weekly as a campaign paper supporting William Henry Harrison for president. The newspaper was absorbed by the Baltimore Weekly Patriot (Baltimore: weekly).
