The Baltimore Republican began publication December 11, 1837 [v. 13, no. 2039] and ceased in 1842. It was published daily, except Sunday. Other editions include the Baltimore Republican (Baltimore: 1827). The newspaper continues the Baltimore Republican and Commerical Advertiser (Baltimore: daily) and merged with the Daily Argus (Baltimore: 1840) to form the Republican & Daily Argus (Baltimore: 1842).
