History
(Baltimore: I. Munroe) The Baltimore Patriot and Commercial Gazette began publication in 1838. It was published triweekly. Title history based on May 22, 1838. It was also published as the Baltimore Patriot. Other editions included the Baltimore Patriot & Commercial Gazette (Baltimore: 1838), the Baltimore Evening Patriot (Baltimore: 1860), the Baltimore Weekly Patriot (Baltimore: weekly), and the Weekly Baltimore Patriot (Baltimore: 1850). The newspaper continues the Baltimore Patriot and Mercantile Advertiser (Baltimore: 1817).
