Description
Books, postcards, buttons, and ephemera relating to Maryland, as well as the personal library of James H. Bready (1919-2011). Mr. Bready wrote as an editorial writer and book review editor for the Baltimore Evening Sun for over 40 years. He was advocate for civil rights and labor rights in the city of Baltimore.

In addition to this fine collection of Marylandia bequeathed to the Archives after his death, James Bready also donated his entire collection devoted to the history of Maryland Rye Whiskey and Maryland distilleries to Special Collections, see MSA SC 5646.
