Description

Patient records of Spring Grove Hospital Center found under the floor boards of the Foster Wade Building. The building was condemned for many years. These records were removed illegally when the building was broken into by an unauthorized person. The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene replevined the records and transferred them to the Maryland State Archives in May 2023. Patients are listed by the first three letters of their last name followed by the first initial of their first name and a middle initial if one was listed.
