The Indigenous Archive Project for the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This project was funded in part by a generous grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA), who made it possible for the Maryland State Archives to pursue this work. Resulting materials include oral history interviews conducted with members of Indigenous communities, as well as transcriptions of those oral history interviews.

Please note: An AI software was used to generate a first draft of transcription, which then went through multiple stages of review by both project staff as well as interviewees. The transcriptions cataloged here are in their final vetted form.
