IN PROCESSING AND PENDING TRANSFERS Documents from the work of Peter C. Brooks, creator, artist, storyteller, changemaker, and champion of Maryland's African American and Indigenous cultures. This collection includes a portfolio of Brooks' work, among them documents that he helped to draft for the Piscataway Indian Nation: Piscataway Indians of Maryland Unified Resolution for Repatriation, a joint resolution calling for return and repatriation of ancestral remains, burial goods, and sacred objects defined as Piscataway to the Piscataway Tribes and accompanying media release.
