[IN PROCESSING PHASE] The Seagrams Calvert Distillery Collection holds a wide range of material documenting its Relay, Maryland plant and the general corporate history. A limited amount of moving image items (16mm films and a VHS tape) are also featured.
History
The majority of the Seagrams Calvert Distillery Collection material consists of legal and financial documents, newsletters, photographs (ranging from building exteriors to official staff events), architectural plans, publicity material, and employee manuals. Some photographs are loose, while others are sealed in envelopes or in albums. Some items in the collection include training manuals that describe in detail how to operate the plant equipment and ephemera from the Grand Opening of the Seagrams Relay Plant, including items like invitations, schedules, and correspondence, with corporate management listed. Aerial plant photographs from the Dundalk, Maryland and Lawrenceville, Illnois facilities are housed within the oversized material. Most material is in good condition.
