Description
Washington Academy, Somerset County: minutes of trustees. The Washington Academy originated in 1767 as Somerset Academy. It was incorporated in 1799 by act of assembly as the Washington Academy. In 1872, it was integrated into the public school system of SO and eventually lost its independent status and identity.
