Description
Report book from Ward "B" noting patient conditions and medicines administered during the period of 6/22/37 to 7/16/37. The Henryton Hospital, originally a race segregated institution, was established for the care of African-American tuberculosis patients in 1922. In 1963, the hospital was transferred to the Department of Mental Hygiene and began to operate a training and habilitation program for severely and profoundly retarded ambulatory adults. The center was closed in 1985.
