Description
Annual Report: Lists president, executive committee, board of managers, and superintendent alongside handwritten annotations of their counties of origin for the years of 1937 and 1938. Includes open letter to the governor from Joseph H. Blandford followed by a summary of the history, object, and admission guidelines for the school. Superintendent Sunderland's written report of the school's operations over the past year includes demographic and geographic statistics of the boys, short summaries of the activities in which "inmates" participated and the "farm products" they produced, and requests for additional facilities. Important statsitical tables calculating "commitments" and "appropriations" are included. Other smaller reports by the attending physician, the principal, the dentist, and the parole officer are also included. Photographs of life at Cheltenham are scattered throughout the booklet.
