1818, January. Chapter 73. an Act incorporating a Company to erect at Toll Bridge across the Potomac River, Opposite Shepherd's Town.

1822, December Session, Chapter 67 Act authorizing the establishment of a ferry across the Potomac

1830, February, Chapter 48, authorizing Thompson F. Mason of Alexandria to use his slaves on Fair Island in the Potomac without their being entitled to Freedom {meaning transporting them across state lines which was prohibited in Maryland and could result in freedom]

1832, March, Chapter 146, authorizing the establishment of a Ferry from the lands of George Chichester in Montgomery County, over the River Potomac, nearly opposite the lower end of Black Walnut Island.
